When the homemade stuff is better than store bought and almost as fast as opening a jar ūüôĆ That is this 5-Minute, No-Cook Pizza Sauce! Guys, can I tell you how happy it makes me to have finally come up with this recipe? This is years of bad, overly sweet or boringly bland pizza sauce in the making. Finally, my well-balanced, salty/sweet and perfectly acidic sauce dreams are a reality.

Salami and Hot Pepper Sicilian Pizza With just the sauce on top

Joey and I make a lot of pizza around here and I am kind of fundamentally against relying on store-bought sauce. Not that I haven’t done it, but I try not to. If you’re taking the time to make your dough, shape the pizza, and carefully choose the toppings (broccoli? salami? spicy pepps? All three??), why would you not want to make your own sauce to pull it all together? I know you’re with me, otherwise you would not be googling homemade pizza sauce!

This perfectly balanced, herby, tomatoey sauce is a snap! It has all of our tomato friends: sauce, paste, and diced, for good texture. Then, it’s punched up by all the best seasonings: italian herbs, garlic and onion powder, crushed red pepper, and sugar. And, since you do have plenty of other pizza-making things to toil over, there’s no need to cook it. Just… mix together the ingredients. Hazaa! So simple and so yummy! Pat yourself on the back and carry on with your pizza-making awesomeness.
